My art practice seeks to understand the substance of human being existence. It often presents juxtaposing views like two sides of a coin; one is response, which is often critical, to the present ordinary state of society, and the other is a personal suggestion to change that situation.
I utilize the concept of ‘social sculpture’ that deals with questions about life, meaning and social interactions between people, between human beings and their environment, and so construct situations to which I invite people from the public to enter and engage with me in a social process. “ Art is like a game” which transforms one thing into another whether it deals with a significant issue or a neglected one. It is the way of challenging and changing perception, to work with the fast changes around us in everyday life.
I explore new mediums and methods of expression toward meditative experimentations with installation, image, documentary video, and performance. My works are often a mix of interdisciplinary forms and re-constructional art concepts, to pursue questions about the relationship between reality and ideology, the definition of borders in our modern life which are created through geography, time, and intercultural/ social matters.
