Slow connection over wi-fi
Windows 7 32 or 64bit. So it has a to be a problem with my network adapter. Occassionally, new software updates can wreak havoc on older hardware and devices causing them to malfunction. Should I just ignore and go ahead and choose generic bband driver?? Message 9 of This showed minport as the only problem device.

Also, I have noticed that there were 8 new devices all of them Wan Miniportso I uninstalled them and restarted, also no luck. If there was, then all the more reason to do an update to the network adapter’s driver. WAN miniports are essentially just drivers for various types of network connection.
Could that be the problem? But, upon reinstallation – the computer no longer recongnized the modem – actually minipprt reported it as ‘unplugged’ in the task bar – even though all the lights were solid green on the modem itself. Found the solution following this link: Already have an account?
